Our mission is to end child abuse in our community.
Child abuse is an ever-present problem in our community, and at The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center, we want to put an end to it. In the meantime, we provide coordinated, child-focused services to help children overcoming this trauma while raising awareness about the impact abuse can have on future generations.
We bring every process a child must go through after allegations of abuse are brought forward under one safe, neutral roof. Our services include:
- Forensic interviews
- Child abuse medical examinations
- Victim advocacy
- Mental health treatment
- Multi-disciplinary treatment
- Coordinated case review services
- Community outreach
The Dragonfly House: Our mission is to end child abuse in our community
We provide these services to boys and girls from birth through age 17 from Davidson and Davie counties in North Carolina who have experienced (or are suspected of experiencing) physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and/or have been witness to violence. We provide all of these services to the families we serve free of charge, and we rely heavily on the generous contributions of our donors to continue making a difference.
You can join those making a difference in our mission to put an end to child abuse in our community. We greatly appreciate all financial donations as well as donations of time. Our network of volunteers contributes greatly to our cause and makes a positive impact on the children we help.
Together, we can put an end to child abuse and help child victims move forward. Reach out to us today for additional information about our services, volunteer opportunities, or how you can donate.
