Our mission is to put an end to child abuse in our community.
Child abuse is a persistent and growing problem in Davidson County, North Carolina. Our goal at The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center is to raise awareness for this issue and put an end to child abuse in our community and beyond.
As a children’s advocacy center, we provide all the services a child needs during an open child abuse investigation under one roof. This creates consistency and eases trauma and confusion for the child. Some of these services include forensic interviews, child abuse medical examinations, mental health treatment, victim advocacy, and multi-disciplinary teamwork, as well as coordinated review services. We help both boys and girls in our community ranging in age from 0 to 17.
Our staff members and agency team members are some of the best in their line of work, and we hold national accreditation while providing services that are above what is considered best practice standards in the field of social work. Every family that comes through our doors receives our thorough attention and compassion.
You can support our mission by making monetary gifts or volunteering your time and skills. We are always grateful for those who make a donation to our organization, whether in the form of a financial gift or a gift of time.
